Who's Behind This Site
I'm Alex — a frontend developer who built this site after spending months figuring out why my eyes hurt every evening. What started as a personal research project turned into a systematic approach to evaluating eye-friendly tech.
I'm not a lab. I don't have a team of engineers with calibration equipment. What I do have is an engineer's mindset: I read specs carefully, I look for patterns in data, and I don't trust marketing claims without evidence.
How We Select Products
Every product reviewed on this site goes through the same filter before it makes the list:
- Technical specs are verified against manufacturer documentation.
- Flicker-free certification and blue light reduction claims are cross-referenced with independent lab tests where available.
- User feedback is aggregated from Amazon reviews, Reddit threads, and specialized forums — I look for patterns across hundreds of opinions, not individual outliers.
- Long-term reliability issues are flagged when they appear consistently across sources.
What We Ignore
Marketing language. Words like "revolutionary", "cutting-edge", or "clinically proven" without a cited source get ignored entirely. A product earns its place through specs and real-world user experience — not packaging copy.

It does not affect which products get recommended or how they're ranked. Products that don't pass the filter don't make the list, regardless of commission rates.
If something changes — a product gets discontinued, a better option emerges, or new data surfaces — the article gets updated.
